Capital Games noted in its announcement that future post-release content updates will include “even more ways to explore Middle-earth.” The mobile game is styled after turn-based strategy RPGs, and will also feature new characters and regular in-game events that aim to “expand the narrative” and add more content for players to experience. It “ the bounds of the narrative canon” by allowing users to wield a ring that brings certain characters into battle, which is shown in the new gameplay trailer.
